Across hundreds of cases in routine practice, emergency care and surgery, I often heard: "doctor, I thought it was normal". Families had noticed a change but did not know what it meant.
Many of these people treated their pets like children. They had searched ten websites, asked the family group chat and found different advice everywhere. Despite their care and effort, they still needed guidance they could understand and use at home.
I created Criando Elos, Portuguese for "building bonds", to share what I learned in the clinic with people caring for pets at home. I want to help families understand what their pets show through their bodies, behavior and daily habits.
